Morning Session: Voice
Voice is one of the most used--and least understood--subjects in all of writing. What is your voice? How can you learn to hear it? Are some people born with a big voice and others a small one? Join Barbara Samuel for an in-depth exploration that should help open you up to the influences and ideas that form the spine of your own voice.
Afternoon Session: "Genre Specific Round Tables, with Published Authors"
One or two PALS at each table and folks can sit at a table of their choice - and then after a bit of time has passed, we all change tables.
Our speaker...
Barbara Samuel has written more than 30 novels, and has
collected many awards for those books, including five RITAs from the Romance
Writers of America. Her work includes category and historical romance,
romantic fantasy novellas, many many articles and columns, and mainstream
women's fiction for Random House. She teaches nationally and internationally,
encouraging writers to embrace their own stories, and blogs about writing,
books, and travel at www.awriterafoot.com. Her
next book is THE LOST RECIPE FOR HAPPINESS, written as Barbara O'Neal, which
will be published in January.
