CONTESTS

-Anna Clevenger's manuscript HONOR'S CAPTAIN finaled in Indiana's Golden Opportunity 2008 contest

-Kerry-Leigh Grady's manuscript HEX APPEAL finaled in the Melody of Love contest, paranormal category.

-Sally Orr's manuscript DONNE WITH LOVE finaled in five contests in August: Heart of the West, Put your heart in a book, Heart of the Rockies, Ignite the Flame and The Molly.

-Ann M. Collins' manuscript THE LONG AND TERRIBLE VOYAGE finaled in the Lone Star Contest sponsored by the Northwest Houston Chapter of RWA.

-HelenKay Dimon's 2007 release YOUR MOUTH DRIVES ME CRAZY  (Kensington Brava) won  the Booksellers' Best Award for best single title of 2007 from the Greater Detroit Chapter of RWA as well as placed 3rd in the Book Buyer's Best Award, single title category, sponsored by the Orange County RWA Chapter. It also finaled in the Golden Quill Contest for published authors sponsored by the Phoenix Desert Rose Chapter of RWA.

-Linda Thomas-Sundstrom's manuscript ALICYN WONDERLAND finaled in the paranormal category of The Published Authors Special Interest Chapter of RWA

-Jeanne Dickson's manuscript AWAY TO MOSS CASTLE placed 4th in the The Hearts Through History Romance Writers RWA Chapter's 2008 Romance Through The Ages Contest.

-Linda Conrad's manuscript SHADOW WARRIOR finaled in the Short Contemporary category of the Orange County Chapter's Book Buyer's Best contest.

-Ann Siracusa is a double finalist in our Spring into Romance contest for IT'S ALL IN THE GAME (FF&P category) and DESTRUCTION OF THE GREAT WALL (Single title category).

-Kerri-Leigh Grady's manuscript HEX APPEAL finaled in the romance category of the Sandy Writing Contest sponsored by Crested Butte Friends of the Library organization as well as our own Spring into Romance contest. She also was named a finalist in an online contest run by the literary agency, Bookends, LLC.

-Jackie Barbosa sold an erotic historical anthology to Kensington for its Aphrodisia imprint.

-Mary Galusha's manuscript SAPPHIRE SKIES finaled in the Charter Oaks Romance Writers' Golden Acorn Excellence in Writing Award for unpublished writers.

-Kathryn Albright's Harlequin release, THE ANGEL AND THE OUTLAW, was named a finalist in the Wisconsin Romance Writers of America Write Touch Contest for published authors.

-Kathy Krevat's manuscript, PTA Meetings Are Murder, is a finalist in Women's Fiction category of THE SHEILA contest sponsored by the Valley Forge Romance Writers Chapter.

AWARDS 

-RWA has announced that Jill Limber is one of this year's receipients of the prestigious RWA Service Award.  Jill is being honored for her dedication and service to the national organization.

-The Chapter bestowed the Marian Award on Jill Limber at the Monthly meeting in March.  Implemented in 2006 and named after the first recipient, Marian Jones, this award recognizes a member's dedication to the Chapter and lifetime achievement in writing.

-Kerri-Leigh Grady earned RWA's PRO designation!!
